We usually don’t do this around here at Dads Talking, but the content was just too good! I received an email from the folks at Disney and loved it, so I thought I would just share it in it’s entirety since I really love doing the homemade costume thing in my own home. So, without further ado… enjoy!
Halloween is right around the corner and we’ve received lots of requests from moms and dads inquiring about “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” costumes for their kids this year.
We asked one of our costume designers Zachary Bilemdjian to come up with some quick, easy and affordable instructions on how to create Jake, Izzy and Cubby costumes at home! Zachary is our very own pirate expert, having worked as the costume designer on the new live-action music videos with The Never Land Pirate Band for the second season of “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” premiering in early 2012. He can also be seen on The Live Well Network as a regular contributor to Home with Lisa Quinn, where he bridges fashion with home design.
Check out Zachary’s tips below on how to make your own “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” Halloween costumes at home. If you do end up making a costume for your child this year, we’d love to see the photos! Please share with us by posting them to our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/DisneyJunior) or Twitter account (@disneychannelpr).
Happy Halloween!!!!
